Red Dress Ball

The GLBA's first inaugural Red Dress Ball was a huge success. The GLBA wishes to thank our Founding Sponsor TD Canada Trust, Executive Sponsor KPMG LLP, all our other sponsors, event producer Michel Nadeau, our volunteers, our entertainers, and most of all everyone that came out and supported the event and by doing so raised funds for the youth of BC through the GLBA Foundation scholarship fund. A picture gallery will be posted shortly for those unable to attend and we look forward to seeing everyone out next year for Red Dress Ball 2008.

Internationally acclaimed recording artist Kristine W will be headlining the GLBA and GLBA Foundation's 2007 Red Dress Ball, presented by TD Canada Trust; Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Commodore Ball Room (870 Granville Street, Vancouver). The Red Dress Ball is a gala fundraising event raising funds for the GLBA charity Foundation; a registered charity providing scholarships for deserving youth of the GLBT community of British Columbia. The GLBA Foundation was incorporated on February 17, 2006 under incorporation number S0050283.

Kristine W is the first artist in the history of Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play to produce a string of NINE consecutive #1 singles. Kristine W's latest release from the inspirational collection, "The Wonder Of It All," has broken the Billboard record previously held by Madonna (7) and Janet Jackson (7) in this category (more details at www.kristinew.com). Kristine W will headline an evening featuring a Red Carpet event with local celebrities, a VIP/Media event between 6:30 and 8pm, with the doors then opening to general ticket holders at 8pm. Live and Silent Auction items will be featured as well as the live show from 9 to 10pm featuring Billboard chart topper Kristine W along side local entertainers(Young Sin, Destineak)/dancers. Zach Spencer formerly from Global TV will Emcee the evening. New Vancouver DJ Rod will be opening the night mixing a sexy blend of chill out, Latin beats and Brazilian bossa nova from 6-9. From 10 onwards DJ Rod will be spinning a mix of sexy, Latin, deep and vocal house as well as club anthems.
